Artes Culturales offers affordable small group performing arts classes for young people ages 6–13.
Through dance, music, theatre, and cultural learning, participants explore creative expression, build confidence, and connect with Afro-Latin culture in a welcoming space.
ABOUT ARTES CULTURALES
A creative space to learn, grow, and belong
In Artes Culturales, young people can take weekly small-group classes in dance, music, and theatre. Classes are offered in fall and spring sessions and are held on Saturdays. Participants may explore movement, music, storytelling, and performance while learning alongside peers and instructors in a supportive environment.

Dance
Participants explore Afro-Latin dance styles such as Bachata, Merengue, and Salsa while building movement skills, confidence, and cultural connection.

Music
Participants can build musical skills through small-group lessons in instruments and voice.
Examples: Drums, Guitar/Bass, Piano, Voice
Theatre
Participants use theatre games, improv, storytelling, and creative exercises to build confidence, expression, and imagination.

- Ages: Youth ages 6–13 overall, with specific age ranges varying by class
